How much are late model center dial maytags worth? There is a mismatched pair at a thrift shop and they want 70 dollars each for the washer and dryer. Do you think this is a good buy or should i wait? Thanks a bunch!!

re Maytags

Hello
yes that is a good price for a maytag as long that they are in good shape and not a lot of rust calesum deposits. Hopefully that it was taken care of and not all covered with detergent and softner slop. If the dryer is electrie you will like it. gas model is ok but I dont care for the constant burnning piolet on the much older models. If it is one of the newer dryers you will love it! mime is a 1978 model so its newer and dryes very quickley. All the Maytag washers are the best! Mised matched or not go for it you will not be sorry!

Newer Maytags aree aweful

The reason i ask is because i have a pair of newer model maytags and the washer is extremely rough on my clothes.

Rust and calcium deposits can be cleaned. If they guarantee them to work, and not much oil underneath the washer,$70.00 isn't too bad,but always try for a lower price!
