Maybe try unplugging it and waiting a few minutes and them plug it back in again and see if it resets and will start.
I had one of these dryers in ‘06-‘08 and I hated it. It took forever to dry. I personally prefer a simple dryer like the Whirlpool based Maytag dryer I’ve had since ‘15 with the top lint filter and thermo controlled auto dry.(not sensor controlled). Its fast, accurate and never fails to turn on and dry the laundry. I don’t care for any of these electronic controlled appliances, too much to go wrong. Good luck! Eddie |

The "chime" may be a fault code. What is the pattern of lights on the panel when it occurs? Is the Lid Lock indicator lit when the lock engages? Diagnostic mode: - With machine off, press/hold Auto Dry Down and then press Power at the same time. - There are several diagnostic levels but some are used during development and factory assembly, not relevant to field service. - Last Fault is relevant. Press Auto Dry Up three times. The pattern of LEDs on the drying progress scale indicates the code. - Sensor Conductivity. Press Auto Dry Up twice more (or five times from the beginning of diagnostic access). Touch the sensor bars with fingers or a damp cloth, and release. The LED pattern on the panel will/should vary per sensing and dissipation of moisture. There is no belt-break switch. There is a manual-reset overheat thermostat on the heater box but it cuts power only to the elements. |
