Opinions please....how effective is the spray only rinse on the Normal/Eco cycle on a Speed Queen top load washer AWN432? |

I use the Normal/Eco cycle on my SQ frequently. The spray rinse is adequate, especially for small to medium-large sized loads. I've even used it on full loads of bath towels back when I had to be parsimonious with soft water. No detergent-related skin issues developed using liquid Tide or Persil. I was mindful to use as little detergent as was needed to get the load thoroughly cleaned.
I always select a traditional deep rinse when using liquid chlorine bleach. I suggest giving it a try. You may find it's adequate for your needs...or you may find you prefer a deep rinse. Saving gallons of water on each load may be important if you're in a drought-stricken area. I always use the Heavy Duty or Whites cycle to fill the tub with true warm or hot water for the wash, then switch it over to Normal/Eco. My 2017 9-Series basically provides a cold wash no matter what water temp you select on Normal/Eco. It starts filling with warm water, which seems promising, but switches to cold after only a couple of inches of water have entered the tub. Reminder: You can't use liquid fabric softener in conjunction with the Normal cycle. |
