Nothing more than a gimmick and is more to do with marketing as well and to convince those people who always need some new every few years because “mY wAsHeR iS oLd AnD OuTdAtEd, AnD dOeSn’T hAvE tHe LaTeSt TeChNoLoGy sO mY cLoThEs wOn’t GeT cLeAnEd”.

If You want BubbleStorm[TM] then get a old school Whirlpool belt drive washer, Speed Queen solid tub washer, or GM Frigidaire solid tub washer and you’ll have BubbleStorm[TM] along with WaterPower[TM] as well.

Has been around in other countries for some years. Won't work with Pods.

Always wondered how much Samsung and LG actually share in their TLs.

That spray looks basically the same.
The impeller aswell.
Their suspension had the same issues back in the day...

Something Different

The BubbleStorm [TM] feature doesn't grab me with the "WOW" factor - it is not a new concept that water dissolves detergent, whether powder or liquid.

However, I do like it that the machine has a lint filter that can be manually removed and cleaned. Self-cleaning filters are certainly convenient, but it is easy to clog a drain with wash water laden with pet hair or heavy amounts of lint. True, the mesh filters that can be put over a drain hose help when draining into a sink, but this is not always easy to do when a machine empties directly into a drain pipe.

What will the wash action be? I wonder.

Good idea for liquids

...but that’s about it. It really has no major benefit other than making sure the dispenser is flushed.

Jerome,

There is a video that shows it's basically a toploader with an impeller. The bubble system foams up the detergent and injects it into the laundry.

relabeling

I assume it's another way for samsung to relabel their aquajet wash system bubble storm. How does it make sense?

I’m confused. Aren't modern laundry detergents low sudsing anyway?

My Tide powder and Liquid make quite a froth in the Estate DD.

My sister used to have a Samsung FRONT loader with "bubble wash." In a front loader you want to minimize foaming, its presence cushions the clothes from being properly tumbled. If you switched off the bubble wash function, it had a stupidly long wash time.

A victory of marketing BS over common sense.

After its drum spider failed, it was replaced by an LG which is much better. (The LG was rescued from a dumpster by yours truly.)
