Hey guys, I’m currently trying to remove the nut on my Perobot 331’s Spin dryer, I’ve tried using tools and trying to get it removed by turning it, but it appears that nothing really works, is there anything else I can try I don’t want to break it off if I don’t have to

A nut that is Bakelite, wow I've never seen that, it would be a challenge. Can you try heating gently with a heat gun and pounding it gently with a rubber mallet? Then a back and forth rocking motion with the wrench might help loosen it.

I'd try pouring boiling water on it to expand the nut. I'd be worried about using a heat gun. Maybe a hair dryer?

Also soak it in Inox spray. I love the stuff, it's magic.

I don’t really know whether to call it a nut

But inside the Bakelite handle might actually be an actual metal nut, I may have to break The Bakelite handle to get access the grease hole, as I am unable to unscrew this, I’ve tried using 101 different tools and spanners but it appears nothing seems to work, and I want to make sure that I can Grease The spin dryer bearings

The translation of the text is as follows:

Addendum to the operating instructions for the CYGNUS (PEROBOT) ALBA washing machines Maintenance: I. The clutch bearings must be lubricated once every two years. II. Once every five years, the two felt inserts of the timer must be greased with fine oil. The two work processes mentioned must be carried out by a specialist from the authorized customer service workshop. III. Relubrication of the bearings of the centrifuge and vortex shaft is done by the user himself, at least after every twentieth wash. The procedure is as follows: a) Lubrication of the upper bearing of the centrifuge shaft (see figure, a "): 1. Loosen the nut of the centrifuge (No. 1). 2. Remove the centrifuge drum (No. 2). 3. Using a grease gun Press the bearing grease (approx. 10 cm³) into the lubrication hole of the centrifuge shaft (No. 3). Illustration, a "

I am not entirely sure of what they mean by approximately 10 cm, as I don’t think it’s possible to get 10 cm of grease From a grease gun

Hey Adam. I can’t help with the removal, but 10cm3 is 10mls, that is 2 teaspoons of grease.

I am assuming the bakelite nut is just a cover for the steel nut/bolt underneath ? Would it be to stop rust marking the clothes? If this is the case you could try splitting it in two so you can access the nut and then glue it back together afterwards? Did similar to a Rolls spin can it was the only way to get it off.

Good luck Austin

Oh, there is no rust marks on the clothes

But I want to grease the bearings,And you’re supposed to put about 8 ml to 25 mlof grease Into the bearings

Austin

I tried splitting it into but the only two things that came off was one small chunk and the rest is left on The Bakelite handle
