It apparently sold, as the listing is no longer showing.

I like the good old days when General Electric (The name of the company) was shown on the control panels as well as the GE logo.

We can thank Jack Welch, former CEO of General Electric, for the demise of "General Electric" from appearing on GE products.

Jack wanted to to convert GE from a manufacturing company to a service company (with a primary focus of financial services, such as banking and insurance) and did not want the name of the company to reflect any association with electricity or electrical products.

He sent out a memo that it was to be called the "GE Company" and that "General Electric" not appear on most of its products, but only the logo.
