Seller claims gas-to-electric conversion?
My grandma had this model, so I do know that the control panel lights up.

the seller means they switched their choice of a gas dryer to an electric one...

although it could be done, they did not convert the dryers heat source....

Yes, sounds more like the seller changed utility companies... LOL

But it's very possible to convert a gas dryer to electric - my 65 Lady K underwent this procedure a few years ago!

Detroit Edison (which doesn't serve Wyandotte...actually) used to give away a 220v dryer outlet and wiring if you bought a dryer from them in the 50s and 60s.

Right Jamie!

Wyandotte has it's own power plant.
The 2 stroy Sears on Biddle avenue was open until about 1973. It's a nice downtown still. No grocery stores anymore, but plenty of small shops, art, ice cream, restaurants, bars and a pub.
I wonder if my Dad ever serviced that dryer. That was his on his route. I grew up 2 miles away. I still have a cousin there. Their siblings live in Trenton, Grosee Ille, and Lincoln Park.

Why don't members capture the photos of these Facebook applliance listings so all of us can see what the product tht's being discussed. I don't have a Facebook account and I don't intend to ever have one. But I cannot see the "ads" without logging in.

Hi Bob. I’m sure there are various reasons for not adding the photos. I used to post like that until I finally learned how to add the pictures. Lol

Ok I see that now...dryer is gas; seller decided to change to electric with a newer model.
But the seller could have written the ad better to avoid any confusion.
I didn’t post a picture because I assume that most here have Facebook accounts in order to paruse the Markerplace ads for vintage appliances. I will do so in the future.
Hi Paul - I saw you on that CBS Sunday Morning piece about the club with Bill Geist!
