Hello,

I'm not the best at knowing all model #'s by appearance. I have a chance to get what looks like a KDS-15?? (see Pics).

Seller said it still works, but Door seal is leaking. Can this Seal still be gotten? Is parts finding hard in general, for this? Is there any way to remove rust stains on interior, or repaint?
I need to determine if it's able to be put in service, otherwise, I can't have it taking up space.
Any other info, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Everyone,

Louis

Louis, you're spot on - it's a KDS-15.   It could well be a leak from somewhere else other than the door seal - I use a KDS54 (portable 14-series) with a door gasket that looks like hell, but it doesn't leak.   Those rust stains could possibly be scrubbed out.  As for parts, most KA dishwasher parts are getting harder and harder to find, but they are still out there.

For the Info Paul.
I really like the Door Control Panel, better than the one after it, which is why I want to clean, fix it up, and use it.

The seller hooked it up in his garage to test it again. He would show me it running, if I want to see the leak. I just really want to know if it is the door seal, will I be able to find a replacement.

Thanks again. 😊

Louis

They do pop up from time to time.

This is the part number you need:  4160249.

They pop up on eBay from time to time but I bet someone around here has a spare.  I checked eBay and didn't find one by this number but this might be the newer number.  Someone here may be able to give you another part number to search for.  You will find one.

Leaking KDS-15 KA DW

About the least likely thing that will make these leak is a bad door seal, go look at the DW and if you want it get it, door gaskets can be found if needed.
