Can anyone help with a problem I've had this happened after I accidentally wired motor wrong- then re-wired correctly with strange results.
After another flood- I was forced to disassemble the washer and dryer to remove all water and lube necessary parts.
I know the dryer worked before I disassembled because I ran it for 15 seconds to see if it was ok. It ran as expected with a slight noise from water in pulley.
When I reconnected the motor after drying it out- I inadvertently connected the red to a blade that was not used before- all other connections were correct. When I plugged it in (with wrong wiring) the console light came on with a hum from the motor. Knowing that the console does not usually light unless I push the dryer on -I knew I messed up and quickly unplugged it. Then I reconnected the red where it was supposed to go and then I had nothing - no start from dryer button and no light from console when turning dryer on.
I have been back and forth trying other wires- and I got the dryer running once with the green wire switched but it was running from just plugging it in. Did I blow a control switch-is there a fuse in console- or is the capacitor blown ?
Anybody have any info regarding or advice would be greatly appreciated.
