My vintage Kitchenaid dishwasher KDS-17 Started leaking out the bottom. Here is a link to a video I shot. Does anyone how how to fix this? I think it is some sort of seal.

Main Pump Seal Leak

You need a new seal and drain impeller kit to fix this, don't keep using the DW as the detergent laden water will destroy the timer and drying blower motor and possibility other parts as well.

Update. I was able to change out with the seal and drain impeller. I had to remove one of the spacer washers because the top of the wash pump was scraping the housing. Not it works fine..there is a small leak around the gasket between the tank and motor. Is there any place to get these gaskets or can I use plumbers putty or pipe dope. Thoughts?

Step one...

Try tightening the screws that go thru the tank and the gaskets may seal up and be fine. You can't get the gaskets from Whirpool, but I have often seen them on Ebay so you should be able to find some new ones to tide you over for the next 50 yrs.
There are two gaskets. One goes on the underside of the tank and one on the inside of the tank.

Thanks. I’m not seeing it on eBay. Would plumbers putty or pipe dope work?

Here you go

the set of gaskets. I used gasket material from an auto parts store and traced the mounting plate.
