Hello everybody. I'm not sure if this belongs if this has been covered. It's about suspension systems.
Why are some washers so loud when spinning while others are so quiet? Why do some rock while others are stable with extra heavy loads? What suspension designs were used over the years?
I'd love to hear your thoughts. If this is in the wrong thread, I apologize. Most washers I've seen have used a hanging suspension system.

As far as top loaders go, contemporary GE suspension systems are about the worst I've seen.  The vibration is horrible during spin.  Not sure why.  The best that I've seen is made by Speed Queen.  My no. 2 might be Whirlpool DD and no. 3 would be Maytag DC.

GE FF

GE FF's had an interesting suspension system. They look like ones you'd find in an aircraft.
