Hey "Slim Jim",
The hoses do occasionally appear online on various auction sites, but they're usually fairly expensive. It is possible to make your own, but you will need to detach the end nozzle. There is an expansion ring inside that is impossible to remove without destroying it. So once you've got a length of replacement hose, you will need to get some strong adhesive to fix it back onto the hose. When I was faced with this task, I went to a hose supply store and got some that is used for fuel tanks (like for those portable ones you see on pick-up trucks). The hose was perfect for the task - flexible but VERY thick and strong. And just the right diameter for the nozzle. |
