I have a J2 maytag and need to find a repair manual. Specifically how to remove the wringer arm and how to change the grease. Can anyone help? I live secluded in mountains and this machine is vital to me. |

To remove your wringer head, move the wringer control paddel as shown in the drawing (pointing away from the wringers) and lift straight up. Once the 2-3" long drive shaft clears, the head is detached from the washer.
Be aware that the wringer head is heavy. In a properly lubed machine there isn't a problem getting the drive shaft to slide out, but yours may be difficult. |
