Am I the only one who noticed that todays patent is assigned to James B Kirby of Kirby Vacuum Fame? The large book that the Kirby dealers use in their demo makes mention of Mr Kirby having designed a washing machine. I wonder if he did more than one...

Do any of you vacuum folks have a Kirby songbook? I don't think maytagbear quite believed me when I told him about these.

Kirby Songs

I don't have a Kirby "songbook"As sheet music?but a cassette of many songs about Kirbys to motivate Kirby salesmen. It was meant to be played in the office or salesmens vehicle during "van campaigns"The songs are sug "barber shop " style.also when a Kirby man demos a machine today-he does some of it from a VHS tape he asks the consumer to play during his demo.It is quite interesting.Trying to get a copy.
