Mine! After 8 months we finally received the newly re-porcelained cooktop panel from IPE for our <---- '57 GE Liberator 40" double-oven range in cheerful Canary Yellow! We also sent them a drawer front for matching and the end result is perfect. Also last year bought an entire '58 Liberator for parts so as to have a spare for everything, so now our winter project is all set. As this is our favorite cooking appliance ever we're excited to get it back into action! Next will be to figure out the Automatic Calrod problem on the large front burner.

getting re-porcelain work done...

it's quite a saga:
We originally sent our original top to a place that others here have used in the past but after several months we had no acknowledgement that it had even been received despite several (un-returned) calls. Finally 3 months after shipping it we did get a call back, saying they did have it and we'd be contacted when it was finished. Now, 7 months later, there's still no response whatever to our phone messages pleading for info about what has happened to our top. Am still hopeful of getting it back... someday?

Out of desperation we subsequently bought an entire '58 GE Liberator in brown, and sent that top out to Independence Porcelain Enamel in Missouri, along with a drawer front for color matching. Although slow (due to covid?) they did get the job done well, as you see. Highly recommended, but be aware that it will be some time for turnaround. To contact phone 816 252-8180, press 3 for Sales and ask for Jeff Gaylord.

sharp eyes. The '58 and '59 DeSotos are gone, that's a '69 Olds Cutlass, presently at the body shop getting a new paint job as we speak.
