hello pinkpower4 its not for me its for my mom summer cottage she has to replace washer dryer looking for my mom i would advise her the maytag mvwc565fw with matching dryer but have a few question for you

1 is the washer quiet other wise the only option i see if my mom wents something quiet would be to suggest to her to look into a use refurbish as new direct drive topload washer with matching dryer?

2 is there a cycle length time for this model with each cycle wash time and length?

also watching this video from kirk rivas

also please take note my mom do not went a front load with front control and she wents something at resanable price also the summer cottage water comes from a well

www.maytag.ca/en_ca/washe... and i doubt my mom will be able to find a washer thats quiet unless she ask when she buys the washer if they can add insultation on the washer body to make it quiet thats just incase my kmom ask my advice but i am considering telling my mom if she loves the set we have here even if the washer is a bit noisy to go for it.

The Agitator is fake

The agitator is fake. I call it an agifaker so do a few other "next generation members" If you want a real washer get the Amana NTW4516FW Priced $299-$599 depends on where you are. Maytag MVWP575GW/MVWP576KW. GE GTW525ACPWB or a Speed Queen of any kind. The best modern machine is a Speed Queen TC5003WN

Speed Queen

Any speed queen is quiet. I can't hear either a TR or a 2017 and older machine if I am not in the same room.

for the tc5 if i manage to convince my mom to go with that model it needs to be easy acess to my mom since its for the summer cottage (size and hight and need to know the cycle length since my mom is use to use the quick wash cycle

For reliability, I don't think you could ever beat a SQ. The TC5 would be my top recommendation. But if you needed something for more delicate cleaning, the TR7 is what I would suggest. But if you're looking for something that can outclean a SQ or any new top load washer on the market, the Maytag Commercial is what I would suggest. If budget is a concern, then I would look into the cheaper version of the Maytag like Roper, Amana, Hotpoint, etc. GE seems to make a decent TL washer nowadays. If I were to recommend any new GE washer, it would be the GTW465ASNWW. I have a friend of mine that bought one after looking into a SQ, the Maytag Commercial, and this. It was cheaper, has a bigger tub, came with an extended warranty, and it fits all of his needs.

pierreandreply4...

I just now saw this. My thoughts would be similar to panisonicvac . I have some issues with hearing, so I don't know that I am a good judge of that LOL.

SQ TC5003wn is what I would buy today if I had a choice because it cleans well but offers smaller load options and is built better. The SQ is worth the difference when it $200 to $300. Some retailers are selling all appliances above MSRP now, and that makes it difficult since SQ is sold at less places because I can find the Maytag and GE for normal price but not the SQ. If a matching dryer is important, you will pay extra just for that. I can't really justify the price difference for the SQ dryer when comparing it to the Maytag commercial dryer.

Maytag mvwp575gw is my overall top second choice but first when it comes to cleaning. Cycles range in time from 25 minutes (Normal) to 45 minutes (Powerwash) when no other options are chosen. A presoak adds about ten minutes. A rinse adds about ten minutes (6 minutes fill, 2 minutes agitate, plus drain). You can think of the only option for a smaller load as a quick wash. If you have a way of adding hot water if needed, this cycle becomes more useful. For this reason, it is better suited for large families or someone who always does full loads of laundry with an occasional need for a quick wash. It's not the quietest washer. You can hear a pops, clicks, and draining. Mine are in a separate laundry room, so I can just shut the door.

The GE Commercial would be a suitable alternative. The issues I saw with the GE are that I prefer the dual action agitator and rinse of the Maytag more. It seemed to get off balance easier than Maytag. But it has some smaller load options in the same price range as the Maytag.

If someone just has office wear and wants a quiet washer, then the TR fits that niche. I think I would stick with the knob version. It seems like the people having issues (other than with cleaning) have the touchpad models.

For front loads, I would look at the LG 4000 series. From your response, it seems like that is what you chose. They are quieter than than the top loads. I had an LG set for 10 years. Loved the sani cycle. Lorain Furniture has a video that shows where you may be able to adjust a screw to get a little more water, and LGs are designed so that the consumer can replace some parts easier.

Hope that helps in that the LG would have been among my choice for a front load. The other info may be helpful to someone else who comes across this later.
