We have been owning a Miele W5780, its about 12 years old, haven't missed a beat but the problem that we currently have is that it is starting to struggle with rinsing the soap suds out, and is constantly having problems to rinse out the soap suds. We have tried to change from OMO Auto to Skip, both being a Unilever products, but still we are having problems with the soap suds not being rinsed properly, we also have adjusted the amount of detergent that we have added but then you have an issue that it will not be cleaning properly.
I have added an extra rinse from the menu, but I have noted that there is a "suds Cooling" option, what does that entail and will it help with the suds lock issue.
Many thanks for all advise.
Regards

The suds cooling will add water to the drum after a 75 or 90 degree wash.
The Unilever formulations have recently been reformulated here so I wonder if they have done the same there hence why you are now getting different results.

Is it sudslocking during spin? IE when it starts to spin there are sheets of water running down the glass?
If there is, there is a vent pipe from the top of the pump, up the left side of the machine and it connects to the hose from the dispenser drawer to the tub.
If this gets blocked, the pump will pump the machine out, then when the machine starts to spin, the pump will be blocked with air, and not drain any more until the air clears.
Hi there, Yes it is indeed suds locking during spin. I was will have a look for said air vent, but it could also be that Unilever has changed their formulation on this side of the pond. Hopefully I will be able to sort this out and I will keep you posted.
