yes eyes and your tough on options cycles portable convertible to built in and if needed back to portable ect sorry for the confusion and wash qualaty

I don't think "modern" versions would exist ... they'd be substantially changed from the originals.

I would see them as cheaply built with many imported parts from Communist China. I would see them as more poorly performing than their predecessors, with weak motors, low water usage resulting in inadequate rinsing, extremely long cycle times and poor drying performance.

Speaking of bringing back old appliances, I’d definitely would bring back the old Whirlpool belt drive washers since companies no longer are offering appliances with features people want. Only things I would change is the bearings from sleeve to roller type bearings, make a removable center post for ease of bearing replacement, put a drain plug on the transmission to drain out the oil if the oil needs to be changed, and beef up the heck out of everything so it would go for decades with little to no repairs.
