I was wondering if anyone could give me some steps on how to balance the inner tub of my Maytag. I’m trying to get it fixed before Christmas. Any given help is greatly appreciated

Remove the top tub cover. Tape down the lid to keep the lid switch from tripping and lift the entire top up and hinge it back (after removing the 2 bolts and bleach hose if you haven't done so already). Select the spin cycle and watch the balance of the inner tub in relation to the outer. When adjusted correctly, the inner tub should spin up smoothly with no wobble. If not, loosen the lock nut and reposition the tub. Keep at it until the inner tub runs perfectly balanced. Some tubs are pickier than others. I have had few that took me 20 minutes until I got the results I was looking for.
