Suds return?

No, this set does not have suds return. If it did, it would have five buttons on the left side, where the temperature buttons are, and a separate portion of the timer that says “return suds”. Here’s a picture of my A408S for example

Is the 800 series the top-of-the-line?

It was after 1972. Before then it was a step below the top of the line, with the 900 series being TOL. These had no dial, just a row of buttons to operate the machine. That said, the 800 series was more versatile, as it had far more wash time, temperature, and water level combinations than the 900 series did. I’ve included a picture of a 900 series set belonging to another AW member.

Seller offfer

The Seller asked me if I would buy them to send them to a good home for an amazing deal,
I am not a big fan of Maytag, but do enjoy them....

If I buy them would anyone be interested in them, she does not want them to go to a recycler or used dealer for scrap.. They were her parents bought new in the 70's she said..

If I lived closer to Florida I totally would. I’ve always liked these center dial Maytags.
