Well I don’t know what everyone else thinks, but when I come across a matched set, I’m smitten! Not sure of the vintage of this set…I’d reckon late 80s early 90s? A fun rescue, nevertheless!

My neighbor back home had a similar set…I believe these have the Franklin mechanism, so heavily indexing tub and probably a straight vane agitator. Are you going to daily drive these or is this more just for fun?

Isn't this a WCI of the vintage with notoriously ineffective agitation?

WCI White-Westinghouse. Parents bought a set of these in 1985 and washer lasted 5 years. After it quit a second time in a short period the washer was replaced. The dryer is still going with only a couple of repairs since 1985. The ones pictured are probably early nineties as the washer has the lid that opens toward the back. The one we had still opened all the way to the side and still had a porcelain wash basket.

That would be the clothes washer from the early seasons of "Home Improvement (1991)."
