Just picked this up with a matching dryer from a small restoration shop. I found one earlier before that, but the lady sold it before I could even get a response. Looked online for a bit longer and found that an appliance shop had one in stock with a matching dryer. I’ve been looking for a kenmore 90 plus series, but this was the closest I’ve came to it so far. It’s missing the liquid detergent dispenser cup, so if anyone could help me find a replacement, that’d be great. Super happy I found this, since I’ve been dreaming of having one ever since I found out about them.

Good wishes to all in finding your dream appliances, and again, any information about the machine is always appreciated

Congrats! I saw very few machines with this control panel style that had the triple dispenser. In fact this style of triple dispenser was discontinued shortly after this. These are 1997 models and the dryer was built the 41st week of 1997. These full featured machines will last a long time yet with little maintenance as they look very well cared for.

My 1987 Kenmore Limited Edition Electronic.....

.....set has this same triple dispenser system. Did yours come with the liquid detergent insert? I can see by the picture that it is missing which means that it's "set up" for powdered detergent dispensing.

I can't tell by the picture if the plastic "diverter" is inserted for use with the liquid dispenser insert but if it is, you'll want to remove it by simply pulling it straight out (it just slips in - no heavy pressure needed).

I don't think it is! The left side dispensers are for bleach and fab softener. The liquid insert fit inside the dispenser on the right. What you see in the middle of the pic is the water inlet.
I had that machine for almost 10 years and always used Oxydol or Tide. Then I bought my first pair of Miele's! Life changed then and there! Greg

That agitator would be Triple Action. Set the agitate speed to extra low with a low to half full tub of water and a good-sized load to see all three motions going at the same time!

Also missing - or otherwise not shown - that model dryer features a heated drying rack. It also has a signal to let one know that the lint trap wants cleaning. If the OP's new dryer is pristinely clean, that feature may still work.

The 1997 set I list in my profile is exactly these models, but both were colored white. I replaced the automatic temperature control circuit board on the washer, and that was the only repair needed the entire time I owned them. They were still in excellent working condition when I replaced them with the Cabrios; I just wanted something different.

Looks great.

The washer looks almond on almond and the dryer looks white. Is it the light level? Are they truly matched and what color are they?

I had the the white models beneath this with 3 knobs, one of which allowed one to select the wash/spin speeds. The dryer I had was a 29" model with the full width fold down door.

Got them new as floor models from the (actual) Sears warehouse (next to the railroad tracks in a shady part of town, lol) circa 1998.

Bob,

The liquid dispenser cup is missing. Also, the water diverter is missing too.
