Happy Holidays Everyone, I am trying to create a retro style kitchen with all avocado green appliances and I am looking for a range to complete the project. I have looked at my local thrift stores, craigslist and Facebook marketplace but to no avail. I need a range that fits a standard opening, preferably gas with a clock and oven window. I m located in North Carolina and am willing to drive to surrounding states. My price range is about $500, more if it is a rare or special piece. I know good ranges of this age are are to find so I am not worried about the brand matching the rest of my set but the dishwasher and refrigerator I have already found are both Kenmore's. Happy Holidays!

I have a very nice kenmore

Built by roper. It’s a bit more than your budget but it’s really nice condition and everything works.

It's funny to think that 20 years ago, people would do anything to get rid of avocado ranges.  Like most stoves, they have no moving parts and will last and last and people couldn't economically justify replacing them even though they most likely had replaced their refrigerator and possibly the dishwasher.

Replace them with bisque the realtors would say.

Now, the markets gone crazy.  Someone in a FB group was just showing off their new(old) avocado range and Maytage washer & dryer ....they don't how to fix.     lol.

Neat range, and I wonder what the middle knob does on the cook top when there are only four burners there, each with their own knobs...

Looks like it is well-made enough to work for another many decades, and it seems to have everything but self-cleaning and waits-high broiling...

Middle knob is the oven thermostat.

Hmmm, that’s what I thought I saw on the panel, along with the selector…
