I would as I think they are great machines. There are some here who have not had the same experience. This one is right around a ‘90 model. A few years later they added a normal cycle which had slow agitation with high spin speed while labeling the original normal cycle with high agitation and spin speed as heavy duty. This eventually led to the machines that had the separate speed selector.

this is a Lady K series...just one step down from the Digital TOL model...
wonder if there was a swap out at one time.....the tub should have been white, especially for a LadyK.... Melvin is very close on the year.... I bought the first direct drive Lady K (1985-86) when they were switching over to the DD setup....this one is a good match, except on the first models, you could not turn off the ATC... still a nice one to keep.....but a model with the speed switch is more desirable.... |

These were very capable washers,
In fact there was no better performing TL washer sold anywhere in the world when these out.
This machine does allow you select auto temp settings or non auto settings.
These had a porcelain topped lid and a porcelain coated wash basket like all DD washers *, white wash baskets were used in later LKM washer again, this one has the original wash tub.
* there were two tubs used in WP built DD washers that were not porcelain, one SS and one plastic.
This is diffidently a machine worth getting and using if you want one of the best TL washers ever built.

My 1986 LK was freshly announced to the market when it was delivered in October, after I saw them at Sears in Rochester, NY in September. No console light. Only model with the console light was the next model up, the electronic control verson. Even at the time, I felt that this model wasn't worthy of the LK moniker. The only difference between this and the 80 series models were the triple dispensers and auato soak/prewash to wash and/or 2nd rinse. It SHOULD have offered a speed control knob and a console light.

Take in mind that this is the machine that Appnut Bob has referred to as the "Shredmore" due to its aggressive agitation on most cycles. It would be several years after the subject model before Sears employed the more gentle "normal" action that was akin to what slow/delicate had been, and the fast action was relegated to the Cotton/Sturdy cycle. My 1997 90 Plus Series featured that fast action with slow spin on the Hang Dry setting.
