Yes it has a speed control switch but no triple dispenser to my knowledge.

It seems like this black panel was only for a limited time around 1998. It happened during the white on white or all white phase during the mid 90s. I remember seeing a model like this at a Sears store with a sudsaver switch.
I wonder if they were running both the white and black control panels at the same time?
These late 90s DD panels in black don't appear that often.

I think it's more mid 90s.

It has the older Kenmore logo and in 1996 they switched to the swoosh Kenmore logo, which I believe was also when they changed to the curvy white consoles with the rubbery gray and white knobs. All of those style consoles were white that I've seen.

During the late 80s/early 90s they did have this boxier style console available in white on white (usually higher end models I think), but most were black/woodgrain. That all black style seems unusual though, I don't recall seeing it.

This particular black control panel was on various models from 1994-1996. There were also white on white and almond on almond at this time. In 1997 the new control panel style came out and there was a black panel version of this probably until 2000. They weren’t nearly as popular as the mostly seen white on white.

I had this black panel washer a few years ago. I had bought it used and determined from the serial number it was built in June 1996. It was a 70 series (no separate speed control selector) where the normal cycle was slow agitation with fast spin and there was a heavy duty cycle with fast agitation and fast spin. It was a great washer and I wish I still had it.
