Just wanted to drop this here. This is a hot stainless set :)
I’m also including pics for those of you who do not use Facebook. I am curious to how that dishwasher would be. CLICK HERE TO GO TO jacz219's LINK |

That's just like the 1960/1961 Spin Tube deluxe dishwasher that was in the house next door (the one with the LK Combos). A house down the street had Whirlpool (same age) gas cooking--this oven. Similar cooktop, but knobs were on the top next to the burners. This cooktop was my first encounter with pioloetless gas cootop.

This almost looks like a two kitchen house where most of the cooking and living was done downstairs and this kitchen was mostly for show. Even signs of normal use are missing. |

Damn, the ad's down already but not surprising... it's been a loooong time since I've seen a Frigidaire Spin-Tube with the brushed-chrome front!! The sad reality of the Frigidaire dishwasher is that they leak... there's a shaft seal in the pump that is prone to failure and the part is very, very difficult to find. Poor Phil here in Québec has now cannibalized 4 Spin-Tubes to keep his 63 Custom Imperial dishwasher running (including the rebuilt yellow one I got from Pete the dishwasher collector here....) I hate to think what might happen to my 58 if I ever installed it and started using it regularly! |
