Hi Friends, My husband and I are gutting the kitchen and taking a side room to use as a butlers prep/pantry. I plan to install my Maytag WU-600 in the pantry which is in great shape however the buttons have yellowed. All of the cabinetry is white so I am looking for replacement buttons or the entire switch with white buttons like the one pictured here on Gregs model. if you any I could buy fro m you I think that would be swell! Cheers!

Isn't there a process for cleaning yellowed plastic?

The "sure-brite method" or something like that? I know it's been discussed here before....or in Vacland.

I will check this out, sometimes coloring the letters back in is tricky after whatever has been used removed the coloring in them.

Hi Don

The lettering on those buttons might be molded right through the white plastic in which case you can’t wash or wear them off Maytag did this on some of the machines it was very high-quality way to make the buttons, unfortunately they did not do this on their washing machines lol
