Oy I love this range! Too bad they don't have pics of the dishwasher.

edit: Attempted to post this in Shoppers Square, couldn't see how to move it.

It looks a lot like my neighbor Marilynn's Caloric range, purchased in 1986. Her's has coil units, though.

Do you have any Corning Cookmates? They work best on the three thermostatic units. You saw the logo of 3 + 1? That means three units that really do best with the Corning Cookmates and one for regular cookware and pressure cookers.

I've sent the seller a message to see if I can get a pic of the DW. Will post if successful.

I can't imagine what they re going to do to that kitchen. Those are expensive cabinets as was the range. Probably going to f it up with a gas stove and crapola counters and cabinet fronts.

tomturbomatic: This is not my range, just one I saw that I think is really cool and in primo condition. Hoping that someone here could use it instead of going to the dump.

I like the brown patterned glass top, very interesting. And of course it has a panel light too!

I looked at the ad and all I saw was a hottie in a red tank top.

It looks Canadian. During the 80s in particular, I've noticed their stoves have a tendency to have the surface unit knobs stacked instead of side by side.

Oven handle is bent... probably by the hotty in red

Seller responded 'PPU', so assuming they show up the range is sold. I'm happy it's getting a new home!

Yeah, I have noticed that ranges in Canada tend to have taller control panels with the stacked knobs. They also tend to have panel lights and convenience outlets, even though ranges in the US stopped having convenience outlets sometime in the early-mid 70s.

I think one of the experts said it was 1974 when outlets and pushbutton controls were out because of safety reasons.
I totally agree.

Lack of Convenience Outlets on Ranges

Underwriters' Laboratories (UL) said they had to be eliminated because the types of appliances plugged into the outlets did not have three prong cords so an ungrounded appliance plugged into an outlet on a grounded range would, if there was a serious current leak or short circuit, ground to the range making it electrically live and a shock hazard to anyone who touched it. I think that was about the same time that push to turn surface unit knobs were mandated.
