Good to see a post from you, Phil!

It looks like a 1955.  At least it's a Combination model, but that price is a little on the high side for even a clean two-door version.

Needs a hefty dose of elbow grease.  Would probably look quite impressive afterwards.

Thanks, Ralph. I know you guys (Lawrence, too)have done your fair share of restoring or at least cleaning up an appliance. That one looks like it would clean up nicely, just from what is shown. Is it worth it? Someone will probably think so.

I'm ready to settle for a single door Combination if one shows up within striking distance, but not for $450 unless it's plug-and-play pristine.

There seems to be a bit of a craze going on for the turntable shelf fridges. People are sometimes paying crazy prices for them, but this one is a little rough around the edges for the asking price.

This ad has been ridiculed on the Facebook vintage fridge group already for several reasons. First of course is the condition of the fridge. It is dirty and in need of painting. The seller further shoes signs of minimal motivation and social skills in their listing. They don't want to talk about the fridge, won't answer whether or not it's working, selling as-is, and only want your money. Walk away unless you are local and it won't cost you anything to look at it and deal with the seller in-person.

I wonder if it was out on the curb and a scrapper grabbed it to try and get more out of it than a recycler would pay.

Not only is it missing its crisper drawers (the ones from my '57 would probably fit it) and the plastic shelf that fits over them, but I wouldn't be surprised if its cord has been cut as is often the case.

Ralph,

You could be correct on all counts, but whatever you do - don't ask the seller those questions!

Apparently the crisper and related shelves are neither a bell nor a whistle because all bells and whistles are included 🤔

I'm sorry

but I think this would clean up in an afternoon with a little elbow grease and some polish. I have crisper drawers to this too if someone wants them, but the plastic part that holds them in place is going to be a challenge to find. It would be worth while to look around the barn to see if they are there, don't laugh I found the ones to mine that way. If it does work I don't think the asking price is too much either. $400 isn't much these days.
