Description error ... timed bleach and softener dispensers is not correct.  Softener is centrifugal on the agitator per the illustration so can release prematurely if the first spin is interrupted.

Does anyone know if bleach dispensing really is timed vs. just an outer-tub dilution funnel?

If you were to interrupt the first spin that super brake would probably cause fabric softener to go everywhere but in the wash basket. Lol

Glenn, yes the bleach dispenser is timed. It's a hold over from our 1964/1965 Dispensomat washer (the redesigned 14/15 lb. model) which was their first perforated tub products. It's unfortunate not even the TOL model in this ad offered a timed fs dispenser like ours had. Again displaying the falacy of appropriate fs dispensing with centrifugal dispenser. The FS on the subjected model would also be dispensed when auto soak to wash was used which I believe had a spin between soak and wash.

A neighbor had this washer when I was a kid. I was impressed with the large tub and 20 lb. capacity claim. I remember lifting the lid while it was spinning and the gunshot-loud clank of the tub brake scared the crap out of me. I thought I’d broken something!
