I think the front loading F&P dryers are indeed rebadged GE's, but I rather doubt that about the top loading F&P dryer. Lawrence/Maytagbear |

F&P has a blurb and link to a press-release document dated April 2006 on their USA web site about celebrating 10 years in the US. The first product marketed was the DishDrawer, which I think was in 1996. I bought a GWL08 washer and DE04 dryer in summer of 1998, so laundry was introduced around that time, possibly a year or so prior. The front-load dryer marketed in the US (DE/DG series) are made in Canada by Camco, a part of the GE conglomerate. The topload dryer was originally manuf'd in New Zealand, but may now be coming out of Ohio along with the latest line of washers. CLICK HERE TO GO TO dadoes's LINK |
