As i have told earlier our Whirlpool at work is not working anymore. That Whirlpool was actually not bought. I found it at our local dumpster and repaired so we could use it at our job. I,m surprised it did worked a pretty long time.

But as always, things broke and it did. In the end the machine blowed fuses, sounded weird and alot of more troubles. We then decided to recycle it and buy a new machine

The new machine they bought is a Selectro. These are made by Merloni. I had my hopes they would buy a Miele, but Nooo!. That was too expensive they said. So now we have a machine that rinse very poor and has a extreme sensetive balance control. And probably the machine wont last more than say 2-3 years.

Oh yeah i recycled that Whirlpool and saw some of the reasons it broke. In this machine the outher tube was made of plastic and was in two halves. The two halves was held together by alot of metallic clips. A few of the clips had started to get loose. Some of them had "corroded" badly.

The results of this was that water dropped into the motor, making the fuses blow and it sounding weird. It was a "electric" sound when the drum moved. The leak was not very big but it was big enough to destroy the motor.

I also noticed one of the concrete weights had started to come loose. Must have been the loud knocking noise we heard when it span on high rpmīs.

I really miss that Whirlpool most because the high level rinses. In the Selectro the water hardly goes over the rim.

Merloni and sensitive distribution

I have a Merloni Hotpoint and the distribution is a pain in the neck. I think in truth the machines would fall to bits if they spun unevenly. I basically like it but it's not the best made machine in the world. Luckily I only use it occasionally as my Miele is my main machine.

Sensitive Out Of Balnce Control!

Hey guys!! as many of you may or may not remember lol I not so long ago had a Samsung washing machine, which was ULTRA sensitive on spin, I mean to the point where it wouldnt even spin one standard dry T-shirt, I had to video it for evidence lol! was such a poor machine!

As for spining, this new Zanussi I have beats most machines Ive ever used, for burst spins it dosnt mind how unbalanced it is (within reason!) and for a normal spin, rather than speeding up to distribtue and realising its off balance, it just slows down the drum speed slightly which really seems to even out an unbalanced load.

I have find out that i have to fill the machine manually with more water through the degergent compartment so it can do a descent rinse. That really makes me irritated.

The old whirlpool rinsed perfectly without having to fill extra water.

I dont get why this machine uses so poor level. Extra rinse doesnt help either. It only rinse 2 more times if you do.

The sensetive balance system makes us wash a full load. If half full it cant distribuite ok.

The machine is fancy with lighted controls but with that poor rinse and sensetive balance sensors i,m not impressed.
