I have only seen them on Stove/Heater combinations in gas stoves.

Tom,

I like this one; even with one broken knob and a broken oven window.  I bet it would polish up very nicely and make a great kitchen centerpiece.

Seems like such a waste of space. I mean could fit at least two or maybe for more burners in that clear space. Then again suppose if counter space near range was lacking that extra room might come in handy.

Still a nice

vintage range. Aside from limiting larger skillets or stock pots, because they would touch the ones next to, or behind, it doesn't matter wether the surface area is in between or not. In retrospect, if it were next to a counter top on the right, all the better for prepping.

There were pictures in 1940s and early 50s shelter magazines showing the stand mixer in that space on electric ranges because countertop space was so scarce.
