Maytag dependable care brake removal tools I’ve probably remove more than 50 brake assemblies from Maytag washers over the years and only a couple times did I try to use the stupid removal tool it’s easier if you just take a strong vice grip grab the edge of the brake assembly and smack it with a hammer you won’t hurt yourself this way and he’ll come loose easily.
There’s a good reason the tool is NLA and nobody is bothering to make one because it was useless in the first place.

You guys must be using the wrench incorrectly. I agree, vice grips and hammer works just fine, but the tool is mighty convenient. I wouldn’t go too far out of my way to get another wrench but I wouldn’t scrap it either. | ||
