I have a few questions about the vintage GE wall oven I recently installed. Model JRP03G0J3

1. The door springs squeak and groan, but the sound is minimized. when I place cardboard between the oven wall and spring. Any suggestions as to a more durable solution. Some sort of spring sheath, perhaps? Spray lubricant? Earplugs?

2. Can the overall height of the oven be adjusted? The bottom looks like it may be (see photo)

3. Is the only solution for the timer failure to send out to rebuild or replace? Is it possible to simply replace a motor?

Thanks in advance for any helpful hints. you have,
