How much exactly was your low dose? Excess sudsing with it is rare in my usage but it can occur in instances of small loads. Worst I've had involved a pillow some years ago in the Calypso, which comprises a very small amount of fabric surrounding the stuffing that can hold and release air = lotta sudsing from the splashing water. Not a problem in the AquaSmart that doesn't splash as much, keeping the dose for a single pillow to 1 tablespoon (+ STPP) with just enough water to submerge the bottom half of the pillow laying across the impeller (flip it over halfway through the 2-hr soak). |

I used the measuring cap, dosed to about 1/2 regular load mark. |

While not bad as original Persil Pro Clean when it first hit shelves, latest incarnations can be quite sudsy.
Don't use cap from bottle but measure into a dosing cap from Ariel Excel Gel. Generally never use more than half to one ounce (15ml to 35ml). You have to dose carefully matching load size and soil level to detergent, otherwise excess of latter has nothing to do but create suds. Persil ProClean like its German cousins is very concentrated. You don't need much to get job done. On lighter note suds do tend to knock down more easily by first and subsequent rinses I find. Indeed my bottle of Persil "2 IN 1 odor fighter" rinses far better than first version of Persil. Today's top shelf liquid detergents tend to be highly concentrated compared to old, with high levels of surfactants and other chemicals designed to give same bright white wash as powders with bleaching agent, and or if latter is added separately. Also look at dosing cap on Persil closely. Lowest level "1" is for "medium" sized loads IIRC. Thus a small load would need less, maybe about half or lower. |

I never use detergent bottle caps or powder scoops for measuring. I have a few 29.6 CC - 1 oz (2 tbsp) scoops saved from oxi powder products and a mini 1/4 cup marked in ounces, tablespoons, and mL. Medication measuring caps/cups are also useful for small amounts. |

I use it and don't get a lot of suds unless I fill the detergent drawer to the max line which is rare. I generally only fill the dispenser drawer to the halfway point for a full load and much less for small loads. Doesn't take much. Are you on Lake Huron water like Flint which is where are water comes from

No issues here. It never was an issue in our Duet, either. I do use less Persil than I would Tide. As others have stated, it is more concentrated. Now the Pods? They were horrible. You might want to make sure your towels are thoroughly rinsed. |

Been using pods for 5 years or so, still have plenty. Just thought I'd switch it up a bit. Tide an Persil pods have worked great for me, everything comes out spotless and clean. |
