Hi everyone! As you may already know, about a year ago, I bought Cinderella, my 1978 Maytag A-208 washer with the matching DE-408 Stream Of Heat electric dryer. (Best 50 bucks I ever spent.). I worked on the dryer right away, but I still have more to do before I’m done. (That’s next on the list.). However, I didn’t start working on the washer until about 4 months ago. I just got done with the wet test without the tub cover, and it was a pass. Here are a few before and after pictures of her. I’ll start with the before.
Thanks,
Thatwasherguy.

Great job! It’s always good to see someone appreciate the vintage machines by the meticulous restorations that they do on them. Now you can enjoy this set for many years to come.

Your 208 really cleaned up nicely. Very cool!

My very first Maytag was a 1978 center-dial HA208.

Thank you all for the compliments! They are much appreciated! It means a lot after spending this much time and effort on a machine.

I’ve decided to include a few photos of the various products I used in the restoration for anyone that wonders what I used.
Thanks,
Thatwasherguy.
