Melvin, I was thinking the same thing. Dryer just looked much lower down the line than the washer.

These were the Maytag killers, once Whirlpool introduced Kitchenaid laundry appliances the high end in the know money all started flowing to KA laundry almost overnight.
Kitchenaid laundry was one of the things that led to the demise of Maytag that Maytag did not do to themselves, as most of MTs problems were self inflicted.

I have several models of these KitchenAid machines and they are all great. Upon closer inspection I believe these to be built in 1990 as it looks like they still have the overhanging control panels which I’m pretty sure were flat by 1991.
The posted set is the 860 washer and the dryer matches one I have that’s built the 30th week of 1990 and the model is KEYE750VAL0. I have the higher end dryer as well if I remember correctly it was built in 1993 but I can’t get to it for the model number. Glenn is much better at knowing the models that were available. The higher end dryer has a variable thermostat setting with ex low, a cycle sentry, and a lint alert light on the panel. Looks like the cycles are the same. |
