Below is the second clip, this time the washer is ending agitation and heading into the drain cycle. I elected to include the end of the agitation cycle, so that you guys can hear that the agitation is brisk and without any problems by this point. The scraping/grinding sound comes back prominently when drain starts, but goes away completely again as the washer picks up speed, heading into spin.
Please feel free to ignore the conversation in the background during the pause between agitation and drain. My wife was talking to me about trading in an iPad, and I couldn't edit it out, so I apologize if that's at all distracting. So I realized I had to go back in and make the links sharable, because others would not be able to view them otherwise, and in doing so, Dropbox reversed them, even though it somehow didn't reverse the titles. So, the fill/agitation is actually in the reply, while the second link, the drain cycle, is in the original post, even though the labels say otherwise.
Technology is definitely not my strength, ugh. Anyway, just listen to the second link first, then the one in the original post to make sense of it. It will take you to a Dropbox link that I made public, and you should be able to just hit preview in order to play the media. |

I only listened to the second link the only thing I heard was a slight noise from the motor pulley where the belt is slipping on it as it starts off.
It’s a completely normal sound you could have a little bit of rust on the pulley which is making that funny little sound as it starts up and gets going. If you want to tilt the machine back and check for rust on the pulley sand that off carefully make sure the belt is good, it certainly doesn’t sound like anything to worry about as long as the machine is functioning.
