Has this been discontinued again? It's out of stock at every turn on the internet. Curious if anybody has some inside info.

P&G Professional lists it on their website. It is probably out of stock and on backorder just like a LOT of other items currently are.

I know that this will be heresy to some, but I find that I get better results with Cascade gel augmented with STPP and it does not discolor or dull aluminum. The only drawback is that the lack of chlorine bleach means that iced tea stains build up on the iced tea pitchers.

Good to know it isn't on the chopping block, yet. I still have a couple of boxes and only use it in the vintage machines and occasionally in the modern ones to revive plastics and distain the interior. I'll hoard a few more boxes once it becomes available again.

Interesting, I thought any aluminum in the dishwasher was completely off limits regardless of the detergent. In the past, I found non phosphate/non chlorine tabs and pods still discolored aluminum while experimenting with some junk pieces.

I contacted P&G pro and sadly they said that the boil out has been discontinued. Now the quest to find something else that can work nearly as well. Anyone have any luck?

It was only matter of time, P&G has been actively getting rid of phosphates from products even if means discontinuing for some time now.

There are still sources however.

I get excellent results from Cascade gel with a little less than a teaspoon of STPP and an added bonus is that it does not darken or dull aluminum.

It's a bit lower than I paid (same seller) three months ago.

Just ordered 6 boxes. Even at the Amazon price, it's still cheaper than Bubble Bandit.
