In 1970 my mom had a white lady kenmore washer and dryer. The dryer had a big fold-down door, and it had several LARGE buttons you push to select cycles and I think it had a dial to set. The washer had three dials (and no button) I think..one for water level, water temp and the cycle. I specifically remember that you PULLED the cycle knob OUT to turn and pushed it IN to start the machine. It also had a black agitator (just a plane top one) and a recycler/lint collector for the water that was metal and the slimiest thing to clean! I also remember that when it went off balance (which it seemed to do a alot) it would click off and buzz... I'm am almost sure the washer said 70 series. But when I see lady kenmore machines on here saying "70" series, they are no where near the same as my moms..they look like the ones from the 80's with the penta-swirl(sp?). Does anyone know these machines and have a pic of them to share? I would love to see the old machines again.--Thanks- James
