Hi everyone. It’s time to clean the garage to make way for a restoration project I’m doing. So I have this maytag set I saved last year from an estate sale. Does anyone want them before I have to send them to goodwill located in Orlando Florida.

I'd love to arrange to pick them up sometime within the next week. It depends on my husband's schedule. Is that soon enough (I hope)??? |

Arlithrien: This is the first time I've seen the contrast between the silver and sapphire lower-half of the panel. I know the sapphire is from the late 60's and the 70's machines have a golden panel. What years/models have the silver panel? The washer's color there is faded, not factory-silver. The change from blue to gold was in 1975. |

Melissa, if it's one queen set of sheets, it should work just fine. I, too, have a standard capacity machine and just a couple days ago, I washed two full sheet sets along with 4 pillow cases. It handled it just fine. Queen bedding isn't a heck of a lot bigger than full bedding. Just follow the rule of thumb with basically any top load washer--fill the machine loosely to the top row of holes in the wash tub--and you'll be golden. :)

You will be pleased with these machines. I have seen them in person as Chris saved a Montgomery Wards set that I went down to his house to pick up. He is a great guy and you will enjoy meeting and working with him. Keep us posted on how everything is going. Bob |
