Since the dryer is a gas HOH model, probably needs to be gone through or at least have the the base painted along with the wiring being replaced as well. I have a avocado version of that dryer I needed to pretty much replaced all the wiring since the pilot light was left on for years corroding everything inside and caused the electronic dry cont to act up, ended up having to put a timer in to make it simpler.

I think the Coppertone range is a Westinghouse.

Notice how it seems to always be the Irish that are clowns.

That's Cookie the Clown, a staple on the Bozo Circus show, shown for years on Chicago's WGN TV.....

I was at a different estate sale a few weeks ago that had a similar Maytag gas dryer (in white). The pilot light was still on because you could smell it at least 10 feet away in the basement. I notice the same smell from pilot light stoves. Maybe people get used to it or don't notice.

I always turn the pilot off on mine as soon as I am done doing laundry. Might consider converting my DG306 to electronic ignition one day but I’ll have to see. Easiest way I can think of converting it to electronic ignition is to use the older style of Whirlpool gas valves with the spark igniter since I won’t have to drill/cut out a opening for the flame sensor, nor does it take up much space. Nice thing is I’d have the benefits of instant ignition without the drawbacks of standing pilot ignition.

What a nice washer and dryer set. The stove color matched, as well.
