Hey guys, I need a hand removing my Maytag agitator on my Maytag A512 As I am wanting to clean underneath it and potentially test fit some other agitators, It’s the mint green four hole agitator, Does anybody have any advice on removing it? | ||

There should be a small set screw on one side of it towards the bottom where the vertical part of the agitator begins to widen into the fins. I don’t remember what size it is but it’s very small so be careful not to break it. after you loosen the screw a few turns (you don’t need to take it all the way out) the agitator should just pull straight up and out.

Oh I always thought this kind of agitator was one that you just simply pull up to remove, I’ll have a look and see if there’s some sort of screw around the agitator tomorrow morning, by the way what does it mean if I do not find a hole there? Just curious | ||
