Only $30.00 for the Amana.

I like the folks trying to sell dead Samsung refrigerators, "not cooling, easy fix", for $400.00 or more. Because 5 years ago, they paid $3000.00!

Those people also need the cattle prod....

The interior trim looks very much like a 1980's Frigidaire.

The "Energy Saver" designation on this makes me wonder if it is one of the Amanas that tried to save energy by getting rid of the mullion heater that kept the cabinet from sweating by running the hot Freon line around the perimeter of the door openings. Unfortunately these lines tended to deteriorate and let the refrigerant escape. Replacing them was impossible because unlike a separate condenser, they were part of the cabinet and foamed into place. I don't know if the system could be redesigned and a separate condenser could be put somewhere in the box, but then you would not have a way of keeping the cabinet from sweating by substituting the heat supplied by the hot refrigerant line around the doors. On the other hand, I could be completely wrong which would not be the first or last time.

It needs freon becuase

the unit has a leak. So it does not work! What seal? A drag seal?
