Hello everybody I just have a simple question I am interested in rebuilding my drain kit on my 1996 Ultimate Care 3 model number LSR7233eq0. I am not familiar with the exact parts I have never performed this repair before, but ever since I got mine almost two years ago it’s been slipping into spin almost everytime unless the trans has gotten warm enough. If someone can point me out to the direct kit that would be wonderful, they have all types and I’m unsure of exactly the one I need in order to rebuild the neutral drain kit. Wish me luck though!! This will be the most extensive repair I’ve ever made on an appliance other than ripping my powercleans sump apart and putting it back together. I will be following JAYKAY18’s video on how to do it. Thanks guys.

Where are you seeing multiple neutral drain kit choices?

The current P/N is 388253A.  Older numbers should subsitute to it.

Whirlpool part number is 388253A. You’ll need some Loctite 515 sealant to reseal the top on the gearcase after replacing neutral drain pak. I personally think it’s a good idea to replace the top spin tube seal 91939. Good luck!

They weren’t all drain kits it was a mixed result of trans kits and the drain kits.
