See last response in old thread which believe answers your query.
www.automaticwasher.org/c... See also.. www.automaticwasher.org/c... and.. www.automaticwasher.org/cgi-bin/... Pumps were weak and problematic part for these old Hoover TTs. Think things improved by later models, but not by much. *LOL* Good news is pumps were designed to be taken apart, bits replaced or repaired, then put back together again. Bad news is Hoover TTs went out of production ages ago now, thus NOS spares can be difficult to find. Of course back in day one simply could swap out a problematic pump for new, but those days are long gone as well. NOS Hoover TT pumps are rare as Dodo birds nowadays. |

If the pumps are the same as a twin valve we have in the UK they look complicated but they are not . The pump splits into three and there are seals in between the parts . If the spindle seal has failed they are simple to replace. Go to a bearing supplier who will be able to measure and get a seal to fit . Usually the top valve seal will clean up and be okay but it’s a simple piece of rubber . Give it a go they are fab little machines . Best wishes from the UK …
