Not sure if this has been shared previously, but I stumbled upon this You Tube channel and Westy Laundromat restoration videos. This guy does amazing work and his videos and very well done and interesting. (Just like our Webmaster Robert's are!)

Fixing leaks on a 1953 WH Washer

I will give him a B+ for effort and a D- for mechanical knowledge about what he's working on and a final grade of D for results.

Hopefully he will inspire others to work on and learn about appliances.

Morning Rich Big Thanks for the link , I had seen some of Travis stuff on another friends site but had missed his own stuff, how I do not know, makes me wonder how many other members we are missing so Thanks for the heads up - Hope all good with you ?

Hi John, its just great he has the enthusiasm to get stuck in and sort the repairs , many of us have been there with limited knowledge and battled on until the knowledge has been learned or shared .

Question what is that new boot he and used ? can you get them ? am thinking for Darren as a template for the English Electric front loader he is repairing ?

Cheers, Mike

Seen these vids yesterday, a good restoration but I would have completely took the tub out to get a better access to fix the leaks, clean the motor and eventually change the bearings.
Anyway he did a great job on painting the outside of the frame, but only the outside so the rust will continue to grows inside.
