I rebuilt my 61 Kenmore in 2015. It's always had a tightness to the agitator shaft, even in neutral. It also makes noise when spinning, especially on slow.Is it alignment issues? How often should you oil the bearings? Can a person drop the transmission just enough to refill the oil? Just pondering. Thank you for listening. 😁

In 2015 did you crack the gearcase open, clean gears and case, and change the oil?

It is misaligned.Turn the bolts back nine turns and see if that cures it then retighten a turn at a time each
