Pretty dryer that appears to be in nice shape, but they say needs a sensor to shut off automatically. Model 110.6818800, and it includes original paperwork. On New Jersey (Egg Harbor City) craigslist, it is posted for $125.

Nice dryer built the 34th week of 1967 as a 1968 model. This style control panel was only offered in 1967 and 1968. It’s one of the kenmore sets that I do not have but would like a set in shaded copper tone or shaded avocado.

Do you have any more room for this set when it shows up?

I actually had this dryer in the mid 90s when I was taking all the trade ins from a retailer. I'm not sure the color, I think it was white but I know it was rough. The thermostat was stuck in the on position so it got real hot and had been used like that for a while so there was damage to the machine. It was full of lint, too.

I don't know what the story is with the door to hide the control panel. Just realized that Sears had that as a theme. I don't remember any other appliance makers doing that. I can think of several of their dishwashers, and washer/dryer sets that had such a door. That just shows how fancy Sears was.  lol

I saw this set, in Coppertone, at an estate sale many years ago.  That was a time when machines & sets like these were not infrequently stumbled upon.  I admired them, they are cool, and filed them away in memory.  Now, however, I'd smack down the money and run fetch the dolly.
